My name is Simon Chick. I am a registered Osteopath and a member of the British Osteopathic Association (BOA).

I have joined the team at Topnotch Osteopathy and Sports Injury Clinic due to my keen interest in sport, sports injuries and rehabilitation. I know how much I have benefited over many years from exercise; running, cycling, weight training and stretching.

As a consequence, my ethos is to get people back to action quickly with as small a potential for re-injury as possible. At Topnotch I will also be encouraging others to take regular and progressive exercise. I look forward to meeting both members and non-members alike.

I first came to osteopathy many years ago with a very painful neck which was, happily, resolved very quickly. The speed of my recovery sparked my interest and as a result, some years later, I decided to train as an osteopath myself. Since that first visit, as a student and as an osteopath I have made many visits for treatment for a variety of problems, from low back to a tendon injury to a hand – Osteopaths treat more than backs! However, from the experience I have gained and through managing my own health my visits to the osteopath are now infrequent.

I am enthusiastic in sharing my experiences with patients and encourage them to benefit from what are probably only small modifications to diet, exercise, posture and routines. I believe in empowering patients to better manage themselves.

As well as the two days a week that I am at Topnotch I run my own practice, Fairfield Osteopathy, in North Hertfordshire.

In my spare time I enjoy activities such as fell walking, cycling, running and gardening. With a keen interest in computers and travel related literature.
